Basic Information
Presentation
This University Extension Course is aimed at people who wish to work as employees or self-employed in social institutions; at domestic employees who provide sociocultural services, at staff of programs against unwanted loneliness and at people who aspire to work in any type of private or public company or entity, in all productive sectors, where there is a practical application of the ethics of care and the projection of services with a sociocultural impact on the community.
This course will help people who take it to qualify to find a job and establish themselves in Spanish society. The objective of this is to promote integration, fight against discrimination and qualify people in order to promote their labor insertion in the market and in Spanish society. Valid course to carry out the roots for training framed in article 124.4.b) of the RLOEX:
“continuing training of universities, committing to carrying out courses to expand or update training or professional competencies and skills as well as other permanent training teachings.”
Objectives
- Promote knowledge to care for children, young people, adults and the elderly and people with special needs in the social-health field.
- Acquire skills related to the care and improvement of autonomy of people with physical mobility difficulties or with psychological or sensory problems.
- Apply basic procedures in social and health care for children, young people, adults and the elderly and people with special needs.
- Identify the ethical principles of social and health care and basic standards for working in the community and with children, young people, adults, the elderly and people with special needs.
- Apply under supervision the techniques of body hygiene, nutrition and maintenance of the physical living space of children, young people, adults, the elderly, people with special needs and people with diverse needs.
- Apply, under supervision, home intervention techniques to children, young people, adults, the elderly and people with special needs, as well as occupational risk prevention standards in the field of social and health care.
- Promote knowledge for the care and attention of minors and minors with special needs.
- Develop psychosocial care interventions aimed at children, youth, adults, the elderly, people with special needs, as well as non-dependent people.
