Access requirements:

Applicants for each edition must be in possession of the title of Graduate or Graduate. Priority will be given to bachelor's degrees or degrees in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and double degrees in journalism or audiovisual communication with law, economics, LADE, etc.

The criteria in order of priority are as follows:

• Degree or Bachelor's degree in journalism, Degree or Bachelor's degree in audiovisual communication.
• Double degrees: Degree or Bachelor's degree in journalism or audiovisual communication linked to another university degree (law, economics, LADE, etc.).
• Double degrees: Degree or Bachelor's degree in journalism or audiovisual communication linked to another university degree (law, economics, LADE, etc.).
• Other Bachelor's or Bachelor's degrees with experience of a minimum of 5 years in the audiovisual sector, mainly in television information.

Selection criteria:

There will always be tests to access the Master's degree, in addition to the required academic degree and the assessment of language proficiency, especially English.

These entrance exams will consist of an interview, a current affairs test and a test on a studio set with the candidates prior to final enrollment. The person in charge will be the director of the master. Applicants must submit a standardized curriculum with the specific profile required and all documentation.

The criteria evaluated in the interview with the candidates who aspire to obtain a place in the master's degree will be the following:

• Experience in audiovisual production acquired during and after their degrees and/or degrees. The time they have been in the audiovisual companies will be valued, as well as the work developed and the degree of responsibility in them: writing, script, direct, intros on camera and locution.

        This criterion will be valued from 1 to 4 points.

• As it is a job in which the image of the candidate and his capacity for verbal development are very important, a test will be carried out on a studio set so that the student shows how he improvises under the pressure of direct and immediacy.

      This criterion will be valued from 1 to 3 points.

• Languages: especially English, but also others.

      This criterion will be valued from 1 to 4 points.

• Current affairs test (national, international, society, sports, etc.). This criterion will be valued from 1 to 4 points.

The student, therefore, can get a maximum of 15 points. In case of a tie, the presentation of all the material presented and the speed in the preparation and development of criterion 2 will be valued.

Prof Dr. Carles Marin is Academic director of the Master, journalist with a long career in directing, presenting, producing and reporting on television programs, both news and infotainment spaces.

Schedules: From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 15 p.m. There are special master classes that can be given outside these hours.

All the  face-to-face entrance exams : monday October 2, 2023 at 10:30 in Laboratory 1 of the URJC Campus in Fuenlabrada. The tests can last up to 18 hours.

Reservation of place and enrollment

Pre-registration: from April 2, 2024 to July 19, 2024

In-person entrance tests:  Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in Laboratory 1 of the URJC Campus in Fuenlabrada.

Testing can last until 18:00 p.m.

Registration: 23 of the septiembre 30 of 2024

Title price: 6.900 €

Scholarship possibility: This academic offer does not have scholarship availability.

Pre-registration: 500 €. This amount is included in the total cost of the course and will be returned if your academic request is not accepted. If, once the student's application has been admitted, the enrollment is not formalized, the amount deposited for pre-enrolment will not be returned.

The start of the course is conditioned to the minimum number of students enrolled.

Documentation to attach, forms and place of delivery

The applicants will present all the scanned documentation, in the formats allowed through the telematic self-pre-registration application when making the application for admission to their own degrees. They must compulsorily attach to their request the declaration of the person responsible for the veracity of the data provided in digital format.

At any time, both the Program Management and the Own Degrees Service may request applicants to submit said certified/collated documentation through the General Registry, located on the Móstoles Campus, or in any of the auxiliary registries located at the different Campuses of the Rey Juan Carlos University, or by sending it via Certified Mail to: Rey Juan Carlos University. The student is responsible for the veracity and correctness of the data provided, exonerating the Rey Juan Carlos University from any responsibility and guaranteeing and being responsible for its accuracy, validity and authenticity.

Required documentation:

Students with a degree obtained from a Spanish university or a Higher Education Institution belonging to another Member State of the European Higher Education Area that authorizes access to own postgraduate degrees in the same pair must present the following documentation:

• - National Identity Document or equivalent
• - University degree of the studies that give access to the requested postgraduate degree.
• - Curriculum vitae
• - Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format
• - Any other document specifically required by the Director of the Own Title for its acceptance. For this Master they are the following:
• - Documentation of experience in audiovisual media (preferably on television, including internships or scholarships);
• - Languages, if the applicant has them.
• - Attach the REGISTRATION PAYMENT RECEIPT (500 euros).

Students with a foreign degree must present the following documentation:

• - Passport or Residence Card
• - Foreign Higher Education Degree (Graduate, Graduate, Architect, Engineer Doctor...) that give access to own postgraduate degree studies.
• - Certificate certifying that the studies carried out give access to an Official Postgraduate Degree in your country of origin, issued by the University of origin
• - Curriculum vitae
• - Declaration of the person responsible for the veracity of the data provided in digital format
• - Any other document specifically required by the Director of the Own Title for its acceptance. For this Master they are the following:
• - Bilingual or native Spanish proficiency, especially with slang and audiovisual terminology.
• - Documentation of experience in audiovisual media (preferably on television, including internships or scholarships);
• - Languages, if the applicant has them.
• - Attach the REGISTRATION PAYMENT RECEIPT (500 euros).

Applicants with studies completed in foreign University Centers may be requested at any time a verification certificate of these studies and centers, issued by an authorized Institution.

All documentation provided must be legalized in accordance with Spanish law and translated by an official translator.
