Graduate in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Doctor in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and Master in Study and Treatment of Pain from the Rey Juan Carlos University. She has four recognized five-year teaching periods and five sections of Docentia, two of them with an Excellent rating.
She joined the Rey Juan Carlos University as a professor in the Clinical and Health Psychology Area in 2002. Since 2011 she has been a Full Professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University. She has held the position of Coordinator of the Degree in Psychology during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years. Her area of teaching specialization is Clinical and Health Psychology, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She has participated in three educational innovation projects, leading one of them and authoring several publications and contributions to conferences related to educational innovation. She has directed five doctoral theses and more than 60 Final Degree Projects and Final Master's Projects.
His research has focused, for 15 years, on the analysis of the role of cognitive-affective and stress self-regulation processes in endogenous pain modulation processes, as well as on the analysis of variables related to psychological flexibility in Chronic pain and its treatment. He has directed four research projects funded in competitive calls, two of them within the national plan, and three research contracts with companies, and has participated as a research member in 14 competitive projects and several research contracts with the business sector. He has three six-year research years, having published numerous scientific articles indexed in the Journal of Citation Reports (JCR). She is the author of several book chapters and has been a speaker at numerous national and international scientific conferences.
