Professor of the Program of Excellence for University Professors of the Community of Madrid in the Department of Biology and Geology, Physics and Inorganic Chemistry. He is a PhD from the University of Alcalá, where he obtained the extraordinary doctorate award and the Doctor Europe mention in 2006. In the last 5 years he has held various scientific and academic management positions, as a collaborator at the State Research Agency or Deputy Vice-Rector Graduate. He has recognized two five-year periods and three Docentia sections. He is currently the Coordinator of the Teaching Innovation Group in active methodologies for the promotion of education in the field of biology.
His field of research is tropical ecology and the development of tools for the analysis of ecological data. He has published more than 80 articles in scientific journals with an impact index (SCI), mainly in the field of ecology, biodiversity and conservation, and is the author of the book Ecological Data Analysis, published by MundiPrensa. He has led various competitive, basic and applied research projects, both nationally and internationally. He has actively participated in different scientific committees and has been Treasurer of the Spanish Association of Terrestrial Ecology for eight years. He is currently the Associate Editor of the journal Methods in Ecology and Evolution. His scientific production has been recognized with four six-year terms, three of them for research and one for transfer.

- Promote the visibility of University Master's Degrees and Doctoral Programs in all areas related to Education, both nationally and internationally.
- Dissemination of the offer among students who finish their degree, analogous foreign qualifications in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) or outside this area.
- Participation in events related to Education for the dissemination of Master's and Doctoral Programs.
- Organization of information campaigns to promote our postgraduate degrees.
- Collaboration with those responsible for the Master's Degrees and Doctoral Programs for the transmission of information in the media and other dissemination channels.
