Maria Isabel Martinez Moreno

Vice-Rector for Academic Planning

University Professor in the Botany Area by the URJC. She has participated in nearly forty national and international research projects, leading 17 of them. She is the author of more than 150 publications, most of them published in high-impact scientific journals such as Science, Ecology Letters or the Journal of Ecology. She has supervised numerous doctoral theses and a good number of Bachelor's/Degree Projects and Master's Final Projects.

She is the coordinator of the ESEFUNLICH research group of the URJC (Research Group on Ecology, Systematics and Evolution of Fungi and Lichens). She has collaborated with numerous research groups in Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, UK, USA, among others. She participates in several research networks focused on restoration, biodiversity, and ecology.

He has extensive experience in scientific and university management. He has chaired the Spanish Society of Lichenology for eight years; She has been a collaborator of the ANEP and the State Agency for Investigation and is currently a collaborator of the Evaluation and Accreditation Department of the Andalusian Knowledge Agency. In addition, she has been Vice Chancellor of Postgraduate Studies at the URJC and Deputy Director of Study Plans at the URJC Higher School of Experimental Sciences and Technology.
