Doctor in Economics, he has been working at the Rey Juan Carlos University since 2002. He teaches in the area of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis at the URJC -Undergraduate and Postgraduate- in the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences. He has published articles in international journals, presented numerous communications in National and International Congresses and published dozens of books and book chapters both in his field of knowledge and in teaching innovation. He has carried out several international research stays as visiting professor.
He directs 4 MOOC courses in which he has tens of thousands of students every year.
He has received several awards for the quality of his teaching and his outreach work; He has recently been the winner of the 2nd Prize for the best teacher at the University of Spain 2017 (Educa Awards), winner of the 2nd Prize for scientific dissemination of the URJC (2018) and finalist and winner of a special recognition in the Miríadax Educational Innovation Awards (2019). .
