ELast Friday, June 7, 2024 It was developed in online mode, at the Rey Juan Carlos University, the event to present the proposal for the new INSET Master (Critical Studies in Intelligence, Technologies and Security Governance). This master's degree proposal, carried out with the support of a project from the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) call [ERASMUS-EDU-2022-EMJM-DESIGN – Project No. 101081354], is aimed at promoting complex and transdisciplinary skills, essential to understand the dynamics of the 21st century world, increasingly based on technology, and in which the challenges in terms of security are increasing in a very volatile international environment.

During the presentation, in which the teachers of the Ciberimaginario group Rubén Arcos and Manuel Gértrudix participated, the relevance of the program in the current context was highlighted, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, the different open international conflicts (Ukraine, Gaza...) and large-scale disinformation campaigns that lead to social polarization and political radicalization. Likewise, it was highlighted how new technologies are transforming the field of security and how, in this context, the need to develop adaptive processes to confront hybrid aggressions is greater.

The program proposed by the INSET Master's Degree offers comprehensive training that addresses the intersection of intelligence, technology and security, providing students with a complete and updated vision to face contemporary challenges. This initiative is aimed at students from all over the world, and is supported by an international consortium of prestigious academic institutions formed by the “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy (MVNIA) of Romania, the Rey Juan Carlos University of Spain, and L- Università ta' Malta.
