URJC and CUPIF start the Project "PRO-Move healthy relationships: Prevention of gender violence in adolescents"

On November 5 of this year the project for the prevention of gender violence in adolescents was born “PRO-Moves healthy relationships” which is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Education of the City Council of Pinto (Madrid) in the IES Vicente Aleixandre and Pablo Picasso. Said Project has been developed by professors from the area of ​​Clinical Psychology and Social Psychology of the URJC and the CUPIF Association and has been able to start up thanks to the voluntary participation of university students in their final phase of training, as well as former students and former students- of different degrees and masters (Psychology, Criminology, Social Education or Physiotherapy) under the supervision of the program team.

This program arises as a response to the needs detected in the adolescent population, which constitutes the most relevant age for the primary prevention of gender violence.

The project will be carried out during three academic years and aims, from a cooperative learning methodology and active participation, to provide tools, skills and techniques to build healthy relationships between peers and couples, thus modifying attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. violence among young people. More and more people want to join this project that was born with the social conscience of reducing acts of violence and, especially, gender violence.
