On April 26, the third-year students of the URJC Degree in Dentistry: María Medina Gil, Cassandra Nogales Tamayo, María Araceli Prado Calderón and Jennifer Romero Ponsín, were awarded the first prize of the Educational Innovation Project of the Complutense University entitled Realization of informative brochures about the Pathology of the Oral Mucosa to inform patients and health professionals. They have been tutored by their teachers, Dr. Delgado Somolinos, and Drs. Rodriguez Molinero and Lopez Sanchez.

The works were presented in the auditorium of the Faculty of Dentistry of the UCM and carried out among students of the Complutense University, European University of Madrid and the URJC.

The project consisted of the elaboration of two informative/disseminative triptychs, on the most frequent medical pathology that affects the oral cavity. One of the brochures is aimed at the general population, and the second at health professionals. Specifically, our URJC students prepared it about oral lichen planus, a mucocutaneous disease that is quite prevalent among the population.

In the image our students appear together with the Professors of the UCM, Ms. Rosa Mª López-Pintor Muñoz, Contracted Doctor and director of said project, and Ms. Rocío Cerero Lapiedra, Head and President of the Spanish Society of Oral Medicine (SEMO), receiving the prize consisting of registration for the next Congress of said scientific society, which will take place between June 20 and 22 in Bilbao, together with the Spanish Society of Craniomandibular Dysfunction and Orofacial Pain (SEDCYDO).

Congratulations!
