The purpose of these scholarships is to support researchers and cultural creators between the ages of 30 and 45 who are in the intermediate stages of their careers. The projects must have a markedly personal and innovative character and can be subject to different areas:

• Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
• Biology, Environmental and Earth Sciences
• Biomedicine
• Information and Communications Technology
• Engineering and Architecture
• Economics and Social Sciences
• Communication and Information Sciences
• Humanities (Philosophy, Philology, Literature, Linguistics, History, Aesthetics and Musicology)
• Plastic Arts and Digital Art
• Music (composition, direction and performance) and Opera
• Literary Creation and Performing Arts
