XII CEA Bioengineering Symposium

The Electronic Technology Area, in collaboration with the Physiotherapy Area, organizes this year the XII Bioengineering Symposium of the Spanish Automation Committee. The fDeadline for abstract submission is April 17, 2020 

 


El purpose of this symposium, which is now fulfilling its twelfth edition, is to provide a meeting space for researchers, developers, clinical staff, students, industrialists, professionals in general and even users who carry out their activity in the field defined by the title of this forum, mainly in Spain and Latin America.

It is about presenting, sharing and discussing new advances in this field with both theoretical and experimental contributions and validation and market introduction of solutions that try to cover as far as possible the special needs of people with physical, sensory or cognitive deficiencies in order to expand their functional capacities for relationships, mobility, manipulation and access to knowledge.

The Topics that this meeting includes are, among others:

- BCI systems. Collection, processing and exploitation of information. Motor rehabilitation, assistance tools, applications.

- Numerical methods, artificial learning, knowledge engineering and its applications to Bioengineering and Rehabilitation Engineering.

- Neural interfaces.

- Augmentative interfaces and automation in assistive technologies.

- Neuromodulation techniques.

- Assistive robotics, rehabilitation robotics and robotic exoskeletons.

- Control of automated assistance systems.

- Models and clinical and technical needs in rehabilitation and patient care.

- Transfer of technology to the industry and the market.

- LCA (Low Cost Automation) in assistive technologies.

RELEVANT DATES:

symposium celebration: 1 and 2 of June of 2020

Deadline for submission of abstracts: April 17th 2020

Date of communication of acceptance: May 1th 2020

Deadline for submission of full manuscript: May 17 2020

PROCESS:

Abstracts should be submitted using the tool available in event website.

La registration to the symposium is carried out through the page Symposium website. The registration fee covers attendance, coffee breaks and meals on days 1 and 2.

- From 01/04/2020 to 22/05/2020: €65
