The Animals and Society Chair clarifies doubts about the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus through animals

The Animal and Society Chair publishes in its blog an interesting article on the spread of the SARS-COV-2 virus from pets to people.

According to the article, given the large number of conjectures and hypotheses, it is important to talk about the facts. In this sense, it is indicated that there is no research article that provides conclusive evidence on whether cats, dogs, ferrets or other animals can be easily infected with or transmit SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The article outlines different facts that reflect that, to date, it is considered that there is not enough scientific evidence to identify the origin and original transmission route of SARS-CoV-2 from domestic animals to humans.
