Asociación Activos-as por un Mundo Solidario (AMS): participates in the campaign "I want to tell you a story"

This association, through the "We can also" project, carries out a program for social and labor inclusion with people with functional diversity in Nicaragua

This program takes place in the city of Diriamba, in the department of Carazo, Nicaragua. In its beginnings, it provided care to 12 young people, although the number has increased due to the situation of vulnerability of this sector of the population, currently working with 50 young people and adults. The different activities that they carry out are: 

  • Autonomy workshops: basic autonomy (personal hygiene and clothing), cooking, shopping and money management
  • Therapy workshops: psychoballet and dance, self-control and individualized attention of users and families
  • Job training workshops: training in gardening, cleaning or cooking
  • Production workshops: work discipline is worked on in them to promote adaptation to schedules, production times, quality control, use of tools. In addition, they include craft or recycling workshops. 

The association, in which teachers from the FCS have collaborated, began its journey in the year 2000. AMS is currently located in Arrasate, Guipuzcoa and carries out its work in Diriamba, Nicaragua.
