The teacher Maria Teresa Barrus Ortiz, from the Department of Basic Health Sciences, participates as a guest editor together with researchers from the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Valencia and the University of Alcalá de Henares, in a special issue of the journal antioxidants. This open access journal has an impact index of 5.014, being Q1 in all its categories. The issue is dedicated to the impact of oxidative stress on the aging process and on various chronic pathologies that accompany it. you can check it here. 

On the other hand, this year the Meeting of the European Council for Cardiovascular Research (ECCR) in which research groups from all over Europe are integrated and which is a reference worldwide, offers free subscription. In the Department of Basic Health Sciences of our Faculty, teams led by teachers Maria Jesus Alonso y Visitation López-Miranda, are part of that network of cardiovascular research European.More information here.
