During the month of October, the International Day Against Breast Cancer is commemorated. Breast cancer is the most common tumor in Western women. In Spain they are diagnosed around 33.307 new breast cancers per year (Data from the Spanish Association Against Cancer).

The objective of this day is to remind society of the importance of research and early detection of a cancer that will affect 1 in 8 women throughout their lives. 

The Faculty of Health Sciences, through all its disciplines, has the mission of joining these proposals and making the university community aware of the importance of health education, a task that we carry out every day on our campuses through of teaching and research.

This month the color pink means fight and strength.
