Awareness and research are weapons to mitigate HIV

El World AIDS Day It is commemorated every year on December 1. This day is an opportunity to spread the preventive measures for the transmission of the virus, educate the population, inform to avoid social stigma and show the advances in prevention and treatment measures. Also, on this day, People from all over the world come together to support people living with HIV and to remember all those who have died from HIV and AIDS-related illnesses. 

Education and information are the basis to prevent the spread of the virus and stigmatization. Carrying out safe sexual practices and getting tested for HIV from time to time are essential measures. In this sense, today will be held in the Meeting Point of the Fuenlabrada campus Free rapid HIV and Hepatitis C tests for all students who wish to do so. These tests, which are done with a saliva sample, will take place from today until Wednesday and on December 9 and 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 19:30 p.m.
