Amparo Nogales, honorary professor at the URJC, candidate for the first national nursing awards

Compete for the award in the "teaching field" category, in which there are only 5 finalists from the entire national territory. The award will be awarded by popular vote, which can be carried out until September 30.

Amparo Nogales is currently an honorary professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid and a full academician at the Academy of Nursing of the Valencian Community. She has been proposed by the Valencia College of Nursing in the category of teaching field because she can be defined as a teacher for all current nursing teachers.

She has been director of the La Fe Nursing School in Valencia and academic secretary of the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid).

Her teaching career covers all types of nursing disciplines and her educational capacity has been recognized in many parts of Spain, both in schools and universities. Her research relates the humanities, philosophy and aesthetics to Nursing.

Her articles are internationally recognized and her books on the different facets of the History of Nursing are mandatory in the training of professionals, especially in anthropological issues and the culture of care.

His contribution to nursing thought and history has served to recognize the need for philosophical and historical structuring in Nursing. His historical and biographical research and his compilations of works that have contributed to the documentary bases of Nursing should also be highlighted.
