Internal Quality Assurance System of the Faculty
The Faculty of Economics and Business is committed to continuously improving the quality of its teaching, in line with the Internal Quality Assurance System (SIGC) of the Rey Juan Carlos University. This system aims to ensure that the curricula, teaching processes, and academic organization effectively respond to the needs of the various stakeholders.
The implementation and monitoring of the SIGC at the center is coordinated through the Center's Quality Assurance Committee (CGCC), a technical body that coordinates quality assurance activities for the official degree programs affiliated with the faculty. This committee is composed of representatives from the dean's team, degree coordinators, department heads, administrative and service staff, students, and external experts, ensuring broad and representative participation of the various groups that make up the university community.
Its functions include planning quality actions, reviewing improvement plans, approving corrective and preventive actions, and internally communicating quality policy and objectives. The CGCC also acts as a liaison between the quality committees of each degree program and the university's central bodies.
Each degree program has its own Degree Quality Assurance Committee (CGCT), responsible for defining specific objectives, analyzing indicators, and proposing improvements. These committees prepare annual reports that are incorporated into the overall center report and ensure that academic information is up-to-date and available before the start of each academic year.
The Faculty has a broad organizational structure, with a presence on several campuses and a large number of teaching groups, which requires coordinated and efficient management of resources. In this context, the quality system ensures consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement in all teaching-related processes.
Quality at the center is understood as a shared responsibility, aimed at offering excellent academic training, adapted to current challenges and committed to the professional and personal development of students.
