External Internships
IMPORTANT NOTICE: mandatory social security number for external internships
Communication sent from the Vice-Rector's Office for Academic Organization to all students enrolled this year in any internship subject:
Dear student:
We inform you that, in accordance with the provisions of the Royal Decree-Law 2 / 2023, of March 16, from January 1, 2024 students of any degree who carry out external internships, whether curricular or extracurricular, paid or unpaid, must be registered with Social Security.
The URJC will assume the management and cost of this measure in all internships without financial support (unpaid). In order for your registration to be managed, you must follow the following steps:
PASO 1: Check if you already have a Social Security Number own In the next link (Click here to see explanatory video).
- If you have an assigned Social Security Number, continue on STEP 3
- Si DO NOTIf you have a Social Security Number assigned, continue in the STEP 2
STEP 2: Obtain the Social Security Number
In order to be registered with Social Security, It is an essential condition to previously have a Social Security Number (NUSS), also called Affiliation Number (NAF).
If you do not yet have a NUT own (the beneficiary number of their parents is not valid), the student must request it through the page website of the Social security.
STEP 3: Inform the University of the Social Security Number
Once the NUSS has been obtained, the student must communicate it to the URJC through their platform validation, accessing as User (Click here to see explanatory video). Once you verify that the NUSS is saved in the application, you do not have to do any additional management.
IMPORTANT NOTE

From January 2024, and as long as you do not have your NUSS, the University No. may authorize you to carry out internships. Internships that have started in 2023, whose duration extends to 2024, They must also contribute from January 1, 2024. Students who find themselves in this situation must communicate their NUSS to the University before December 15 of 2023. If the University does not receive the NUSS before that deadline, it will be forced to terminate its internship. |
