“MOVE Project, for a Fair, Healthy and Sustainable Food”. A Project to promote social skills in students of the Degree in Food Science and Technology and in society.

During this course a group of students and professors from the Degree in Food Science and Technology from the Rey Juan Carlos University are carrying out the "Pproject MOVE ON, por one Afeeding Justa, Shealthy and Sostensible”, approved by the Office of Learning and Service of the University, with the objective of promoteBetween the young population of our Community, the importance of carrying healthy eating habits and lifestyles and the need for reduce food waste and improve sustainability of our diet, to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs of the 2030 agenda.

Among the actions that are being carried out is, as a main axis, the realization of face-to-face training workshops, both for students from different Educational Centers, as well as for young people and mothers at risk of social exclusion, in collaboration with the Madrid City Council and with the participation of the institutes attached to the Food Wave project and Social Centers of various Madrid districts.

As a starting point, they have prepared a brief survey to find out the consumption and eating habits of the youth population, and thus be able to evaluate the most necessary actions to be developed in the workshops. The survey is anonymous and you can collaborate with the project by filling it out at the following link:
