Viewing and round table: 'Akira' in anime and in the future of cinema

 ALOA screens the mythical work of Katsuhiro Otomo and organizes a colloquium on its influence on cinema

 

The activity is called "Akira's influence on anime and the future in cinema" and will take place next Thursday February 28 in the Assembly Hall of the Library of the Madrid-Vicálvaro Campus.

Akira premiered in 1988. More than 30 years after its release, the work directed by Katsuhiro Otomo has become a benchmark for anime and science fiction. His influence has been felt in dozens of movies, comics or video games. In this activity organized by the ALOA University Association, the film will be screened and a debate will be held on its importance in many facets of contemporary cinema.

Ignacio Pablo Rico: film critic at Leisure Guide Madrid
