Jonathan Sánchez is a student at the Faculty of Communication Sciences and works full time. During his career, he switched to blended learning and was able to continue with his childhood passion, Journalism.

A place at the Rey Juan Carlos University, outside his city, was what led him to look for work. "Coming to Madrid without knowing anyone and being in the textile sector opened the doors for me to meet people," says Jonathan. Since he started his career, he works full time as a shop assistant. Currently, he is at the end of the Journalism Degree, but he confirms that thanks to the blended learning it has become much more bearable.

"I was passionate about seeing how they communicated on television and I saw myself trained to do it too," he says. From a young age, Jonathan was clear that he wanted to study journalism. Before starting the third year of the degree, he decided to switch to blended learning. "As time progressed, it was very difficult to combine classes and work," he clarifies that this caused him demotivation. Although he confesses that thanks to this change, he can have greater freedom and a social life without having to wear himself out, organizing his own study schedules.

Jonathan Sánchez also believes that combining study and work provides him with more benefits than drawbacks. “When you do both, it helps you grow professionally. You acquire skills that are not only learned by studying, but also through real situations”, he confirms. In addition, the student was clear that "I did not want everything to depend on third parties, including myself."

In the future, he maintains that he would like to further his studies, "I like the idea of putting myself in front of a camera and I wouldn't mind specializing in it." In addition, he does not think he will leave his job, because he considers that he has carried it out perfectly, but he is clear that "I want to grow professionally within the scope of my studies."
