IFEMA, a "new hospital" in which people from the FCS participate

A new "hospital" to fight Covid-19

 

The IFEMA fairgrounds have been transformed into the largest "hospital" in the country with the aim of fighting Covid-19. This hospital has already begun to receive patients from the Community of Madrid, all of a minor nature. The objective of reducing the concentration of patients in the rest of the hospital centers of the Community of Madrid.

Doctor D. Antonio Zapatero Gaviria, Head of the Internal Medicine Service at the University Hospital of Fuenlabrada and Full Professor of the Department of Medical Specialties and Public Health of the URJC, is responsible, together with Doctor D. Javier Marco Martínez, for the Medical Directorate of IFEMA. Currently, they organize the assistance circuit for patients who are referred to the IFEMA hospital: classification, identification, location of nursing controls, review of the medical protocol, assignment of health professionals by work units, implementation of the clinical history electronics, pharmacy management, laboratory tests, radiology or protective equipment, among other actions. In addition, associated and linked professors of the FCS are working or collaborating in the hospital itself.
