The URJC University Clinic, based on the Alcorcón Campus, offers an Odontology emergency service and a Psychology telephone service, among other activities

 

Currently, The University Clinic maintains the following services in operation:

 

Dentistry Area: dental emergency service, available from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 15 p.m. The clinic team makes an initial telephone assessment of the patient's problem and, depending on its severity, indicates whether it is necessary to go to the clinic to receive urgent care. In addition, the Clinic's patient care staff is in contact with patients with treatments started before the confinement period to monitor their progress and needs.

 

Psychology Area: se has launched a Free telephone psychological service for those citizens who are experiencing symptoms such as overwhelm, anxiety or panic attacks as a result of confinement measures. This service contemplates the possibility of continuing with regulated sessions by videoconference if deemed necessary. On the other hand, professionals in the area of ​​psychology continue to serve regular patients through videoconferences. In addition, professionals from the Clinic are providing support services to other health centers, such as the Alcorcón Hospital, to reinforce their psychological care services for health workers, patients and family members in these difficult times.

 

Multidisciplinary area: sand has launched a telephone service specialized in occupational therapy, especially focused on people who are quarantined with children, the elderly or dependent people and need help to develop activities to guarantee their health and wellness through occupation. Also, it has enabled a sTelephone service specialized in physiotherapy in which clinic specialists advise patients on issues related to postural hygiene, muscle overload, exercise routines, etc. The possibility for patients to travel to receive urgent care at the clinic is also contemplated if necessary.
