May 12. International Nurses Day

Posted by FMR

Today tribute is paid to all the nurses, who around the world do this laudable work for all of us

As a reflection, we share these words from Annette Kennedy, president of the International Council of Nurses:

Leading the world to health

"There are more than 20 million nurses around the world and each one of them has a story. They understand hope and courage, joy and despair, pain and suffering, as well as life and death. Being an ever-present force for the Well, nurses hear the first cries of newborn babies and witness the last breath of the dying. They are present at some of life's most precious moments as well as some of its most tragic. Nurses serve the community. humanity and, through their actions, protect the health and well-being of individuals, communities and nations.

Around the world, nursing is routinely recognized by the public as the most honest and ethical profession of all: people instinctively trust and respect both nurses and the work they do.

Today we want to thank all the nursing professionals who work in our faculty and in university hospitals and social health centers, as well as our students. Thank you for taking care of us, today and always.
