La Animals and Society Chair of the URJC has as purpose develop and launch associated activities and/or research projects framed in the field of disseminating the principles of animal welfare. 

Through its blog, which you can consult here, the Chair publishes current articles on the relationship between humans and animals and its impact on health promotion. Taking advantage of the beginning of the academic year, the blog begins with a new article titled: The elderly and animals, the perfect pairing? This article delves into the benefits of living with animals, also in the elderly, providing points of view and advice on the most suitable animal for an elderly person.
