Professor Roberto Cano de la Cuerda publishes a review paper on women creators of intervention methods or common assessment scales in neurorehabilitation 

Professor Doctor Roberto Cano de la Cuerda (Department of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine) has carried out a review of the literature on the role of women in the area of ​​neurorehabilitation. The article, published in the magazine International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, describes the participation of women in the design of evaluation scales or in the ideation of intervention methods for the exploration and rehabilitation of people with neurological pathology. 

In the words of the author, "Health Sciences requires the brightest minds, regardless of gender. Currently, a large number of the procedures and scales that are commonly used in the field of Neurorehabilitation were developed by excellent researchers. The objective of the work was to carry out a historical review of outstanding authors linked to the field of neurorehabilitation throughout the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, as well as researchers who designed scales or tests described as eponymous, exposing their scientific career and main contributions".
