Rey Juan Carlos University and Legálitas Sign a Collaboration Agreement to Promote Legal Innovation and Student Employability

Today, the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) and the law and legaltech firm Legálitas have signed a general protocol of action that marks the beginning of a strategic alliance aimed at innovation in the legal field and the promotion of the employability of students of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences.

 

Madrid, February 15, 2024 - Today the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) and the law and legaltech firm Legálitas have signed a general protocol of action that marks the beginning of a strategic alliance aimed at innovation in the legal field and the promoting the employability of students of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences.

This collaboration agreement, signed in the presence of distinguished delegations from both institutions, was especially starred by Ms. María Enciso Alonso-Muñumer, Dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the URJC, who played a crucial role in the gestation and development of this initiative. Dean Enciso highlighted the importance of this collaboration as a bridge towards the integration of legal innovation and technology in the training of future legal professionals, underlining the faculty's commitment to the educational and professional vanguard.

The agreement contemplates the creation of professional internship opportunities for the University's undergraduate and graduate students, a fundamental step towards improving their job placement in the competitive legal sector. In addition, avenues of cooperation will be explored for the development and implementation of innovative solutions in legaltech, with special focus on the application of artificial intelligence in the legal field.

The event started at 12:15 with words of welcome by the Rector of the URJC, Mr. Javier Ramos López, and the Dean Mrs. María Enciso Alonso-Muñumer, who received the CEO of Legálitas, Mr. Luis del Pozo Rivas , and its management team. After signing the agreement and exchanging copies, attendees participated in an official photo session and an exchange of impressions that reflected the enthusiasm and mutual commitment to this collaboration.

The event concluded at 13:00 p.m., establishing a promising alliance between academia and the professional legal sector, aimed at enriching the educational experience of URJC students and contributing to the advancement of legaltech and legal innovation.
