Students of the Degree in Food Science and Technology of the URJC in the III CyTA Junior National Congress

The congress was held on June 20 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Zaragoza.

 

Last Monday, June 20, a group of 20 students of the Degree in Food Science and Technology of the URJC attended the III CyTA Junior National Congressheld at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Zaragoza.

The congress was aimed at students and recent graduates in Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the field of Food Science and Technology from all over Spain. It featured talks on sustainability and new foods, as well as various wine, beer, cheese, flower or insect tasting workshops, to complement the training of the congressmen, as well as to promote and consolidate the creation of links between students from the different universities and provenances.

The URJC participated in the congress with the presentation of seven poster communications and one oral communication in different topics of Food Science and Technology, from research and bibliographical works on current issues related to safety, food quality and health, to work on coordinated activities between subjects and SL methodology to improve the quality of teaching while offers a service to societysee program). With all this, an important vision of the quality in the training that our students receive has been shown to the rest of the Spanish universities in which this degree is taught.

The trip has been organized by the coordinator of the Degree, Dr. Sonia Morante, and has had the support and financing of the ESCET management.
