In those two days I did the interviews with the students and the teachers and I returned to Madrid”, explains this young man.

For Alberto, this award means "a boost to my career that has also helped me get the internship". He will spend the summer working in the Informative Services of Intereconomía TV. "It's a way to enter professional journalism and also news, which is what I like the most," says the young man.

From his time at the URJC until now, Alberto wanted to highlight the practical nature of the Radio and Television subjects "in which we made a lot of videos and news", he indicated.

A broad look at Alzheimer's

For her part, Belén Jiménez, a second-year student on the Double Degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication, won a second prize of 1.000 euros at the XXII Francisco Valdés National Journalism Award, convened by the Junta de Extremadura and, more specifically, by the Municipality of Don Benito.

The one in Bethlehem is a written press report on Alzheimer's observed from different points of view. "First I approached it from the scientific and medical side, but I also wanted to show the vision of the caregivers and the application of the Dependency Law in this field and show how the staff of the Hospital 12 de Octubre works," says the award-winning student.

For Belén, who writes on the culture and current affairs website 'The Hall Of Stars', this award “is an injection of energy and desire to continue studying the degree”. The young woman is still not sure where she wants to go: "I like written journalism, but I study the Double Degree because the audiovisual is also important and interests me, it is still early", this student points out that what she values most about the university is discovering journalism together with his classmates.
