The FACIUNI program (International University Academic Film Festival) is a festival whose objective is to search for and promote new talents and young filmmakers. It takes place in nine Latin American countries and, apart from presenting the students' short films, it develops numerous talks, both face-to-face and via streaming.
On this occasion, Fernando Meirelles will be the special guest of the talk. Director and producer of numerous films, Meirelles has won dozens of awards in the audiovisual industry. In his speech at the festival he will talk about his beginnings in the cinema and will give a lot of advice for anyone who is just starting out.
In addition to having the prestigious filmmaker, the event will be moderated by Brazilian dubbing actress Simone Kliass, who will announce the names of the different winners of this year's contest, who will obtain a scholarship at the School of Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California, in the United States.
