The Alliance of Universities creates the workshop "What is the New Normal in Distance Learning in European Universities"

The link of the Alliance of Universities with "society and technology to shape sustainable futures", has developed a virtual workshop to address the strategy of education, research and dissemination.

The main objective of the event is the elaboration of a world-class transnational network with unique, multidisciplinary and cross-cultural research programs and initiatives to help and instill these values ​​in future generations.

During the workshop, both academics and participating students will discuss distance learning as a new learning modality from technical, social and pedagogical perspectives. In addition, the success stories experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic will be shared through discussion panels, to analyze the advantages and opportunities for university communities, and in this way, to find sustainable solutions for the European Education Area. The European higher education institutions that make up the Alliance and that have worked on the proposal to develop the virtual workshop and thus tackle education, research and dissemination in the face of the new challenges facing society are the University Technical University of Athens (GR), the  University of Technology Brno (CZ), Slovak University of Technology Bratislava (SK), Leibniz University of Hannover (DE), Lappeenrata-Lahti LUT Technological University (FI), Jönköping University (SE), King Juan Carlos University (ES ), the Università degli studi Roma Tre (IT) and the Technische Universität Wien (AT).
