The Javier del Pino Club of Scientists organizes the event "Scientific communication: disclosure in the audiovisual medium"

The event is held for the entire university community interested in both science and communication.

"Scientific communication: dissemination in the audiovisual medium" comes from the Rafael del Pino Scientists Club, an association that has the objective of showing and promoting technological innovation such as civil leadership and social commitment in the various scientific fields to the young students.  

This event tries to inform and detail about scientific communication using conventional media such as television or radio but also merging them with more recent media such as podcasts or YouTube among others. For this, the event has four international scientific communicators who are going to sit down at a discussion table to try to inspire young scientists and professionals in the field of communication to promote these two fields that are associated in an excellent way.

The day has guests of great category, internationally recognized and who are authentic experts in this matter. Dona Nelson,  professor and researcher in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma. Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón Irigaray, professor and researcher of the Department of Mathematics  and computer science from the University of La Rioja. Dr. Inés Dawson, communicator  professional scientist with a PhD from Oxford University on the biomechanics of insect flight. Dr. Shannon Odell, comedian, science communicator, and neuroscientist from Brooklyn with a Ph.D. from Cornell University in memory, epigenetics, and brain adaptability.
