You can now interact with Las Meninas and its author at VelázquezTech

“VelazquezTech” is the newest interactive museum in Spain where the art of Velázquez can be enjoyed through the latest technologies. An incomparable experience to be able to admire, contemplate, touch, listen and feel art with the 5 senses, as never seen before. It is a true 360º sensory experience.

This museum is located at Calle de Atocha 12 (2 minutes from Plaza Jacinto Benavente and the Teatro Calderón) and can be visited until the end of September. Through the tour of its 8 rooms, you can enjoy different interpretations of the peak pictorial work of Velázquez: "Las Meninas". The “VelázquezTech” exhibition is made up of dozens of projectors and the most advanced video technology mapping.

Can you imagine being inside the Alcázar room where Velázquez painted the painting? Likewise, you can create your own meninas in the inspiration cubes to unleash your creativity and even enjoy with the most representative Meninas of the urban exhibition Meninas Madrid Gallery, and at the same time… conversing with Velázquez himself through holograms! It is an unprecedented experience that you cannot miss.

PhotoESPAÑA 2021 exhibits works by renowned photographer and publicist Leopoldo Pomés

Within the Festival Cosa Sarà PhotoSPAIN 2021, Cerralbo Museum hosts an exhibition of the Barcelona photographer and publicist Leopoldo Pomés (1931-2019). In it you can enjoy a selection of 85 snapshots, 30 of them unpublished, which revolve around his great artistic obsessions: women, windows, light and shadows.

A large number of these works are first copies. With them, it is intended to give importance to the role of those that were positive at the time. The exhibition takes a tour of Pomés's artistic career from its beginnings to its last years in photography and advertising.

It should be noted that this author obtained great notoriety from his advertising work with the Christmas advertisements for The bubbles of Freixenet cava, which continued with the inauguration of the 1982 World Cup in Spain in Barcelona and Barcelona's candidacy for the organization of the 1992 Olympic Games.

The Cerralbo Museum is located at Calle de Ventura Rodríguez, 17 and houses from June 4 to September 12 the Leopoldo Pomés exhibition.
