FCCOM classrooms collaborate with the field of culture

Written by Marco Gallego Velazquez

The Faculty of Communication Sciences and the Chilean artist Marcela Parra are working on making video clips of the songs on her album The sound does not match the Image.

In its collaboration with culture, the FCCOM classrooms are working on the production of several video clips with motion graphics, an audiovisual technique that consists of digital animation that creates the illusion of movement through images, photographs, colors and designs.

On this occasion, the cooperation is being carried out with the Chilean interpreter, Marcela Parra, who a year ago released her album The sound does not match the picture. In it, the Doctor in Visual Arts and Creativity wanted to give importance to the construction of the letters, highlighting the relationship between memories and fantasy, between reality and the fantastic.

In this new album, unlike the previous one called astronauts on the beach, Marcela has wanted to move away from sounds closer to folklore similar to traditional Latin American music and in this way approach styles more representative of her influences such as Múm or Bjork, which resemble electroacoustic trends from an experimental logic.

From the classrooms, the video clip of the theme has been presented tremendous noises, which can be enjoyed at FCCOM YouTube channel. In addition to the video of tremendous noises, FCCOM is currently working on the following, Move objects with your mind which can be viewed trailer and that will be published in the coming weeks.
