"The wall. Now you see me Moria”, an original photographic and visual initiative

La Casa Encendida, located in Ronda de Valencia, 2 in Madrid, organizes an exhibition of photographs, posters and videos that reflect the situation of how refugees live on the island of Lesbos (Greece). This exhibition can be visited until September 2.

Likewise, Amir, an Afghan resident in the Moira refugee camp, and Noemi, a Spanish photographer and photo editor based in the Netherlands, launched a program where graphic designers from all over the world were invited to create posters of the snapshots from his instagram account @now_you_see_me_moria. As a result, 446 posters were created and published in a Action Book profiled by graphic designers Raoul Gottschling and Christian Knöpfel.

This new and innovative photographic and visual initiative, to denounce the migration policies of the European Union, has been exhibited in several European cities such as the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, where the Spanish photographer resides. In turn, it has been exhibited at the FOTODOKS in Munich, at the Welt Museum in Vienna and in our country, at the GETXOPHOTO in Getxo.

The unpublished exhibition "Reunion" says goodbye to Madrid

Last chance to enjoy, until July 25, the exhibition "Reencuentro", a unique and unpublished sample of the best works of art from the Prado Museum (Paseo del Prado, s/n).

This exhibit features more than 190 works from the XNUMXth to the early XNUMXth century. However, its originality lies in the fact that the pieces on display pose dialogues between authors and paintings separated by time and geography; in addition to seeking associations on admirations, rivalries and influences.

Also, we should not miss the opportunity to enjoy this unprecedented and special experience where we can see well-known works such as The Annunciation by Fra Angelico, The saturns of Goya and Rubens, Las Meninas Spinners by Velázquez, works by Bosch, portraits by Titian… All of them gathered for the first time in the Prado Museum.
