Seminar on the representation of immigration in the audiovisual media

Next Wednesday, November 10, this meeting on immigration and communication will be held.

The Conference will be held in the assembly hall of the Madrid-Quintana Campus with the following programme:

10:00 / Inauguration of the conference by Miguel Baños, Dean of the Dean of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the URJC. 

10:10 am / Lecture “The representation of immigration in communication” by Francisco García, former director of CNICE and professor of Audiovisual Narrative at UCM. 

10:55 am / Lecture “The designs and desires of foreign immigration in Spain” by José Manuel Azcona, Professor of Contemporary History at the URJC. 

11:35 to 12 / Break 

12:00 / Lecture “Immigration in Madrid from the perspective as a photographer”, by Marivi Ibarrola, photojournalist and professor at UC3M. 

12:45 / Lecture "Cinema and emigration" (Foreign and Stranded), by Helena Taberna, film director. 

13:30 / Round table: The impact of inclusion technologies and policies on immigration issues: presentation of the MICADO project.

The event, organized by professors Rafael Gómez Alonso and Victoria Mora de la Torre, is intended for the entire university community. It will be broadcast on the University's television channel.
