Workshop on Fundamental Aspects of Unreal Engine for the Creation of Multimedia Content in Virtual Reality

The workshop will take place on March 28 (Monday) and 29 (Tuesday) at the Fuenlabrada campus.

 

 

Next March 28 (Monday) and 29 (Tuesday), the practical workshop Fundamental Aspects of Unreal Engine for the Creation of Multimedia Content in Virtual Reality will take place, which will be given by Álvaro D. Larios. The timetable in which the workshop will be held on both days will be from 19:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m., in the Computer Room L2107 (Laboratory 2) on the Fuenlabrada Campus.

 

In the conference we will delve into the Unreal Engine 4 game engine from the company Epic Games, known for launching games like Fortnite. We will learn, throughout the workshop, to navigate the interface, the basic native tools and build a scene. We will also see how to import objects created by ourselves in other free software: (Blender) and we will explore the use of other components that enable the development and implementation of interactive content in this medium. to end up with a 1st person project that is compatible with VR devices.

 

The workshop is completely free. although it will be necessary to register through this link (by clicking here) and 0,2 ECTS credits will be awarded to URJC students who attend it. Similarly, no prior knowledge of Unreal Engine is required.

 

The workshop is organized by the FCCOM Classrooms, within the training activities of these units.
