Promote your literary creativity by participating in the FCCOM Bibliostories

"Bibliorelatos. Stories in your library" is an initiative of the FCCOM of the URJC that aims to foster the imagination of the university community with the library as a creative and literary axis.

Endorsed by the Vice-Rector for Campus Community, Culture and Sports, this teaching innovation project aims to promote and develop the narrative dimension based on the space offered by the library. This activity is funded by the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the URJC and is organized by the High Performance Research Group in Innovation, Education and Communication (INECO) and the Teaching Innovation group NODOS, both linked to the Rey Juan University Carlos, in collaboration with the URJC library network. NODOS and INECO are led by Belén Puebla Martínez, professor of the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations, who also coordinates this activity. 

The library comes to life

If you are passionate about writing, go ahead and participate in "Bibliorelatos. Stories in your library." It is an initiative aimed at the entire university community that invites you to create a story set in the URJC library. You have up to November 20th to bring your narratives to life in a 350 words maximum

People interested in participating have until November 20 (at 23:59 hours) to send your story through the form enabled for this in the websites. The texts that meet the requirements will not only be part of the Bibliostories exhibition, which will be open to the public in the URJC libraries starting in February, but will also be published in a book. Furthermore, coinciding with International Book Day, on April 23, the closing ceremony of the exhibition will take place and the publication with all the stories will be officially presented. Students who participate will receive 0,2 ECTS credits for presenting their story.

Guided tours

Participants who wish to explore the libraries' hidden places for inspiration have the opportunity to request guided tours until October 31. All this information is available at la web. The rules of participation establish that the stories submitted must not exceed 350 words and must conform to the template provided, otherwise they will be discarded. Don't forget that it is essential that all stories come to life on the stage of our university library, which plays an essential role in each narrative. Let the library inspire you!

In the web page There are detailed rules of participation, as well as a collection of video tutorials created by teachers with valuable recommendations and advice on writing, typography and illustrations that are very useful for writing the story successfully.
