On Book Day you have an appointment with the literary creativity of the URJC

On Tuesday, April 23, the book "Bibliorrelatos. Stories in your library" will be presented in the Library building on the Fuenlabrada Campus.

Coinciding with Book Day, the entire educational community is invited to immerse themselves in the world of short fiction through the presentation of the book: "Bibliorelatos. Stories in your library." This event will take place on Tuesday, April 23, at 17:00 p.m., in the Palm Room, in the Fuenlabrada Campus Library building.

This work is part of the project that bears the same name as the book: “Bibliorelatos. Stories in your library.” The main objective of this activity is to promote and develop the narrative dimension and visual culture through the development of micro-stories, of a maximum of 350 words, set in the spaces offered by the university libraries.

The people who participated with their texts received theoretical and practical training with support material (guides and tutorials) to be able to successfully prepare, illustrate and layout (based on a template) the story. Therefore, this book is the result of the literary talent that the university community and interested citizens expressed through the more than 90 short stories that make up its pages.

In addition to the book, an exhibition with the posters of the stories is being held in the libraries of the URJC and the CEU San Pablo University.

The presentation of the book is carried out by Belén Puebla Martínez, professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising at the URJC; Magdalena Nebot Boberg, director of the URJC library; Laura González Díez, professor at the CEU San Pablo University and Ascensión Gil Martín, coordinator of Libraries at the San Pablo CEU University Foundation. Additionally, during the event some authors will read their stories to the audience.

Don't miss the opportunity to support and enjoy the literary genius of the URJC. We look forward to seeing you next April 23 to share and celebrate the stories that have emerged from the pages and come to life in our library!

This activity is funded by the XVII Call for Promotion for the Organization of Academic Activities of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, 2023 and is organized by the high-performance group of Research in Innovation, Education and Communication (INECO) and the NODOS group of Teaching Innovation, both linked to the Rey Juan Carlos University, in all the university libraries of the URJC. NODOS and INECO are led by Professor Belén Puebla Martínez, who also coordinates this activity. The CEU San Pablo University and the Library of this private university have also collaborated in this activity.
