The Dean of the FCJP participates in the I ICAM Health Law Congress

With the aim of promoting and protecting people's health through a solid and updated legal framework, on June 1, the First Congress of Health Law was held at the Madrid Bar Association, in which more than 50 specialists legal, among which was our Dean and Professor of Commercial Law, María Enciso Alonso-Muñumer, and from the field of health proposed innovative solutions that contribute to strengthening and improving the health system.

With the aim of promoting and protecting people's health through a solid and updated legal framework, on June 1, the First Congress of Health Law was held at the Madrid Bar Association, in which more than 50 specialists legal, among which was our Dean and Professor of Commercial Law, María Enciso Alonso-Muñumer, and from the field of health proposed innovative solutions that contribute to strengthening and improving the health system.

 

As you have well expressed, the presidentfrom the ICAM Health Law section, Esperanza Marcos, Given the rapid transformation of health systems, which face challenges such as technological evolution, demographic aging, climate change or global pandemics, "Health Law stands as a powerful instrument to guarantee access to quality medical care, safeguard individual rights and liberties and establish a balance between scientific advances and ethics in medical practice”.

 

The Community Health Minister, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, also participated in the event, who recognized the importance of this first Congress to improve "the legal and legislative umbrella" that Spanish health needs to function with full guarantees.

 

Similarly, The deans of the UAM Faculty of Law, Juan Arrieta, and of URJC Legal and Political Sciences, Professor María Enciso Alonso-Muñumer, were also present at the inaugural ceremony, who valued health law as a fundamental pillar to guarantee access to quality medical care, protect the rights of patients and regulate the responsibilities of health professionals

 

The URJC Professor of Philosophy of Law, Mr. José Antonio Santos, also participated in said congress, who also acted as Counselor of the ICAM Health Law Section.
