The Hon. Mr. NAKAMAE Takahiro visits our university within the framework of the cooperation that the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences has initiated with different accredited Embassies in Spain.

The conference took place last Wednesday, April 10, and brought together 90 students. The Ambassador was received and introduced by María Enciso Alonso-Muñumer, Dean of our Faculty and the conference was moderated by Vicente Garrido Rebolledo, Vice Dean of Research and International Relations.

The topic chosen for the Ambassador's presentation was Japan's foreign and security policy in the current geopolitical context, dealing with such relevant topics as the position on Taiwan, the threat posed by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and relations with China. After his presentation, a question period took place that exhausted the remaining time. Likewise, several students approached the Ambassador at the end of the conference to thank him for his presence and ask for several photographs.

This activity begins a cycle of conferences with the collaboration of different Embassies that aim to strengthen the relationship between the Rey Juan Carlos University and the accredited Embassies in Madrid.
