The End of Degree Project is the last subject that university students face every year and, probably, the subject most feared by them since it is the one that puts an end to the university career.

Alejandra Mercedes Hernandez Graham, a Journalism Degree student from Gran Canaria, can now breathe easy and enjoy her summer vacations in her native land. The reason is that the student has already presented her work on the Evolution of the verbal and non-verbal communication of the appearances of the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, during the 2020 confinement.

Q: How long have you been working on it?

R: In January I began to organize myself with the Tutor and from February I began the search for information and subsequent writing until June. I have spent about 5 months on it.

Q: How did you organize yourself to carry it out?

R: I started by collecting and classifying data on the chosen topic, authors and terminology in order to build information related to it. After the bibliographic review and subsequent reading, I searched for the protagonist of the work and visualized the interventions to be analyzed in order to later classify his communication following the scheme proposed by Mark L. Knapp. To do this, he was marking dates in which he considered that he should deliver each section of the work in order not to see me in a hurry in the last month.

Q: If you had to do it again, would you organize yourself differently? What things would you change?

R: No, I think the way I did it was the right one for my project.

Q: What part of the production process has been the most difficult for you?

R: The analysis part was the most complex, because after viewing each intervention minute by minute I had to examine and assess their expressions, language, context...

Q: Have you been satisfied with the result?

R: Yes, it can always be better, I am a perfectionist, but taking into account the grade obtained, the result has been very satisfactory.

Q: Has it been more difficult or easier than you imagined to do it?

R: At first I thought it would be more difficult to do it, however, with a little effort, patience and a work routine that is followed, it becomes more enjoyable.

Q: What advice would you give to students who are going to present their TFG soon?

R: First of all, they should not leave everything to the last minute, that they take into account what and how they want to do it and the importance of constant work and setting goals and deadlines to organize themselves.
