The Faculty of Communication Sciences, through the research agreement for those affected by ALS, collaborates with the Bikers for ALS platform to give visibility to the disease.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a degenerative disease of the nervous system that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. In Spain, there are about 4000 ALS patients, with 900 new cases confirmed annually, and their causes are still unknown.

Bikers for ALS was born from the concern of a biker about the disease and his decision to show the world what it entails and those who suffer from it. Its main objective is to raise funds for research and assistance for the sick in their daily lives.

From this platform, we seek to give visibility to both the disease and those affected. They do this through the world of motorcycles, create routes to do in groups, organize events, collaborate with motorcycle clubs at a national level... Its coordinators, José Tarriza Martínez and Israel González García, emphasize how important it is to publicize this cruel disease which still has no cure.

through the following document You can learn more about the functioning of the organization and about the disease. For more information, visit your accounts Instagram y Facebook, where they update daily on the activities of the entity.
