Since he decided to try to dedicate himself to the world of cinema, Jorge Laguía was aware of how difficult it would be to succeed in this sector. Despite this, Jorge was clear about it: “I watched more and more movies and I was more interested. I saw one or two movies a day, I knew the names of the actors, actresses and directors by heart. I wanted to try and go down that branch.” In addition, he adds, that having studied the higher degree of Audiovisual Communication cleared up all his doubts: “there were two incredible years where I saw how wonderful this world is. Thanks to the degree I confirmed that I wanted to dedicate myself to this”.

Jorge Laguía created, together with a group of friends, his own production company, white balance, with which he has been able to produce different short films such as The HMustio ombre, Wake up or Monquifeis. It is a humble production company with just a budget to constantly create content. Laguía assures that “iwe tried making a short a year or every two is difficult because most of us have to finance it ourselves”. Today, white balance, has seven shorts and already are working In the next.

By the end of the year, Jorge hopes to finish the script he is working on. "I just finished one that we are waiting for the record to arrive so we can distribute it," he adds. PFor him one of his great passions is writing scripts, “I love having the opportunity to create stories and then be able to make them visible. All the shorts I have directed have been written by me. In addition, I wrote a micro theater play that was presented in Madrid”. A passion that continues and that, as Jorge says, has several short-term thoughts.

One of the most ambitious projects that this young director has in mind is directing a get outsuit: "The we have scriptbut not the money. Hopefully we can get it because it would be a wonderful thing."

Writing and directing are some of his facets, but, in addition, he has just published a new podcast on his channel. Jorge explains that insings chat about cinema and share their ideas together. "We do it for the love of art, never better said, and, despite not having many followers, we do have some fans." The world of cinema is very complicated and dedicating yourself professionally to it is something that only a few manage to do.
