The Faculty of Arts and Humanities receives international representatives of EULiST on the Aranjuez Campus

Between February 26 and 29, the different faculties and schools of the URJC received visits from members of a total of 16 foreign universities

Last Tuesday, 27 February, Aranjuez Campus of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities received the visit de EULiST alliance members, formed by ten universities, in the context of the International Staff Week at URJC, together with members of another dozen international universities. The objective of the 72 visiting members was know the training offer of the Faculty, Its facilities, the Royal Site of Aranjuez and, in addition, carry out work sessions to strengthen common objectives and propose new lines of collaboration.

2024 02 Visit Eulist047To start the day, a representation of the Dean's Team of our Faculty gives the welcomed the attendees and held a presentation session, which was also attended by Vice Rector of International Relations, Ms. María Luisa Humanes Humanes, with the members of his EULiST work team, Pablo Tomas Salvadors Alonso y Juan Manuel García Camús. During this, the presence of the Faculty on several campuses, the wide Offer of Degrees and Double Degrees and interdisciplinarity of the curricula of the branches of Arts and Humanities. Subsequently, a guided tour of the facilities of the Old Pavia Barracks, hand in hand with some of the teachers and members of the Decanal team: Félix Labrador, Raquel Sardá and Helena Domínguez.

Attendees had the opportunity to visit the building facilities, where part of the teaching of the Degrees in Fine Arts, Fashion Design and Management and Image Design and Management is developed, Together with the respective Double Degrees and learn your operation, Thanks to the interaction with students and teachers of the center. They later moved to Assembly Hall of the Old San Carlos Hospital building, where the plenary sessions until afternoon.

2024 02 Visit Eulist102The visit to the Campus was completed with a walk through the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and its gardens, so that attendees could understand the historical-artistic and scientific importance of the place in which our Arts Campus.

La EULiST Alliance (European Universities Linking Society and Technology) is made up of the Rey Juan Carlos University, the  Leibniz University Hannover, Germany Leibniz University Hannover, Germany,  Jönköping University (JU), Sweden Jönköping University (JU), Sweden,  Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT), Finlandla Brno University of Technology (BUT), Czech Republicla  Slovak Technological University of Bratislava (STU), Slovakiala  Technical University of Vienna (TUW), Austria, University of L'Aquila (UNIVAQ), Italy,  National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece and  Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT), France. Likewise, during the visit to the Faculty there were members from other universities from Bosnia Herzegovina, United States, Tanzania, Puerto Rico, Paraguay and Mauritius Island, which are part of the KA171 internationalization program.

El purpose main part of this agreement is linking institutions across Europe with a common vision of sustainability, excellence and European values, as a clear example of innovation y collaboration. Recognizing that society drives the need for technological changes, and in turn, technological progress influences social development, the alliance focuses on train individuals who understand both the technical problems of the future and the social dimensions in which technological solutions will be applied. The roadmap is based on the pillars of the ccreation of a Digital Campus and Knowledge Center, Accessible Services and Greater Mobility, Sustainable Campuses, Innovative Education, Open Science and Regional Innovation and Diversity in STEM.

La Faculty of Arts and Humanities, as part of the URJC, joins this network from the commitment that the artistic and humanistic dimensions have with education and society for form citizens e free individuals, in clear line with technological and professional progress that characterizes our university.
