URJC science reaches the bars

The university has been the institution that has contributed the most researchers to the Pint of Science 2017 event, in its Madrid edition.
Professor José Manuel Colmenar, from the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering, has directed a programming workshop where boys and girls from first and second year of primary school have worked with computer concepts such as program and algorithm, through two games made by them themselves without computers.
More than 60 students from 25 centers in the community of Madrid have put their knowledge of Chemistry to the test in the 'Chemistry, Environment and Intelligent Energy' contest organized by the URJC.  
According to a study by the Ministry of Education, 97% of nursing graduates from the Rey Juan Carlos University find work within four years of completing their degree. The percentage of male and female nurses at the URJC who find employment in this period of time is much higher than the average for Spanish universities, which stands at 59%. The URJC is in first place along with the University of Cantabria in terms of employability of nursing graduates.
