HOW YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE QUALITY OF THE UNIVERSITY

Participate in the quality of the university

By DIRECT through your participation in the satisfaction surveys of the General Information Collection Plan. In them you not only give your opinion on various aspects in which you are involved as a group of the University, but also your assessment influences subsequent decision-making.

For example, teacher evaluation surveys of professors are used in the Support Program for the Evaluation of Teaching Activity of University Professors (DOCENTIA). This evaluation system, currently deployed in more than 90% of Spanish universities, is articulated through a voluntary evaluation process of the teaching staff that carries out a broad analysis of different evaluation dimensions organized into three sections: planning, development and results. In order for teachers to obtain the minimum required, they must achieve, at least, a grade of 62 points out of 100.

At our university, the DOCENTIA support program is coordinated by an evaluation committee made up of:

Evaluation committee of the DOCENTIA program

President

Vice-rector with competences in the DOCENTIA Program

Internal members PDI

Three internal members of the university (representative of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Planning, representative of deans and directors of schools, and representative of department directors)

Internal student member

Representative of the student group

external vowels

Four external spokespersons who are experts in teacher evaluation

Secretary

Academic Director of the Office of the Vice President with competences in the DOCENTIA Program

The program itself invites teachers to reflect on their teaching activity, qualifications, competence and training. The annual results provide a better understanding of both individual and collective strengths, and guide action towards those aspects of improvement that are revealed to be necessary, both from an individual and institutional point of view.

By REPRESENTED, through the student representatives in the numerous governing bodies and University Commissions. From the group delegates to the Collegiate Governing bodies, passing through the Quality Assurance Commissions of the degrees, of the centers and the University Quality Committee. The Quality Assurance Commissions seek to achieve the objectives set out in the degree programs and the development of said plans, verifying that the actions carried out within them are intended to promote student learning .

How does it affect me? Why does it affect me?

The ultimate goal of the quality assurance system is to ensure the improvement of teaching quality. Therefore, all processes and procedures are essential as instruments at the service of quality teaching. All the improvements in the teaching activity of the teaching staff, in their training, qualification and competence, will have a positive effect on the teaching-learning process and, finally, on the training received by our students.
