Enrique Ortega, professor at URJC, chosen best professor of Business Schools 2017

The Spanish Association of Business Schools awarded this prize to the professor of the Private Law Area for having obtained the best evaluations from the students. The delivery took place during the III National Congress of Business Schools, held in Madrid.

For Professor Ortega, this award "represents a special recognition competing in a category such as Law, a priori less attractive for business school students than others such as Marketing, Coaching, etc."

The teacher points out that to teach class “it is essential to know the students; both their profile and knowing who they are, in order to be able to adapt teaching” and adds that everything he explains “has an application in real life”. In this sense, he indicates: “the day I dedicate myself to replicate what a book says, I will leave teaching”.

In addition to teaching at the Rey Juan Carlos University, Enrique Ortega teaches in the programs of executive education from the IE Business School. He is also director of the Master in Corporate of the Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) and the program in Retail Law pfor IE Law School (Instituto de Empresa). At the same time he directs legal courses on current affairs at the Madrid Bar Association.

Good experience at URJC

Enrique Ortega points out that he only has “good words for the URJC”. In addition to being a teacher, he is a student at the university. As a teacher, he highlights the high level of the students, especially the Fashion Design and Management degree, one in which he teaches. For Ortega “they are students who have to pass a very high cut-off mark and it shows that they have a true vocation for what they study”.

In addition to his law degree, Professor Ortega has, among other postgraduate degrees, a Master's degree in Business Law from the University of Alcalá and an official Master's degree in International Business Law from the CEU San Pablo University. Furthermore, he has a Executive Master in Corporate Finance Management & Law by Esade Business School, in which he obtained the best grades of his promotion.
