For the professor of Labor Law and Social Security at the Rey Juan Carlos University, this appointment "contributes to making visible the work that is done in the department and in the University." He added that the Spanish Association of Labor Law "enjoys significant prestige in the academic world."

The Association celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, which coincides with the centenary of the International Labor Organization. Its president is the former president of the Constitutional Court, María Emilia Casas Baamonde.

“An unprecedented social revolution”

The world of work is in complete transformation. For Guillermo Barrios Baudor, the changes we are experiencing are going to cause "a third of current jobs to disappear in the future". For this reason, he has indicated that "we have to be able to adapt to this unprecedented social revolution."

For the teacher, “the change is going to be so profound that one of the keys to the future is going to be in education”. Given this scenario, universities must seize the opportunity because "many of the jobs of tomorrow do not yet exist."

Guillermo Barrios Baudor has an important and award-winning career as a researcher. The following awards stand out: Defense Award 2009, in the José Francisco de Querol y Lombardero modality and III Reina María Cristina Award 2015, Law modality, Real Centro Universitario Escorial-María Cristina (both in collaboration with the URJC professor, Ana Isabel Pérez fields).

More recently, Professor Barrios won second prize in the prestigious CEF Financial Award (Center for Financial Studies 2017). He achieved it in the category 'Labor Law and Social Security', thanks to his research work 'The integrity and/or authenticity of the means of electronic evidence in the labor process: An approach to the subject regarding emails' .
